Pricing
Full Day Wedding Photography - £950
Includes all of the above, plus: 10 hours of coverage, from bridal preparations until well after the first dance. You’ll receive at least 600+ beautifully edited images, and travel within 100 miles of Derby is included.
Half Day Wedding Photography - £550
Includes all of the above, plus: 4 hours coverage, spanning whatever parts of the day you’d like. We’ll make sure all the most important parts of the day are covered - the ceremony, family group shots, couples portraits, and depending on your schedule for the day, we might also have time to capture some of the bridal preparations, speeches or cake-cutting - we can chat about your timeline before you book, so you know exactly what parts I’ll be able to cover. This is a great option for twilight weddings with a more condensed timeline.
You’ll receive at least 300+ edited photos, and travel within 60 miles of Derby is included.
Extra Hours - £100 per hour
You can add additional hours to the Half-Day package (or to the Full-Day, though usually the 10 hours included are more than enough!). There’s no need to decide at the time of booking - I’ll block off the whole day for you, so you can let me know about any extra hours in our final consultation, or on the day itself.
Travel Costs
The prices above include travel within a 100 mile radius of my home in Derby, as shown by the circle on the map. I'm still more than happy to cover weddings outside of this area, but please note there will be a small additional fee to cover increased travel costs – send me a message with your venue location for a no-obligation quote.
The Booking Process
1) Initial contact
If you're interested in booking me to photograph your wedding, or you'd just like some more information, or an informal chat about any aspect of planning your wedding, send me a message! Let me know the date and location of your wedding, and I'll confirm if I'm available, and confirm any additional travel costs. If you like, we can book a video call to talk about your big day and get to know each other a bit – you can ask any questions and get a sense of how well we vibe, before you make any decision about hiring me.
2) Contract and Deposit
If you do decide to book with me, I'll issue a contract for you to sign and return, and ask you to pay a deposit of £150 to secure your date. The remaining balance will be due 4 weeks before the date of your wedding. Please note that your date isn't guaranteed until the deposit has been paid.
3) Before the Wedding
Once the deposit is paid and your date is confirmed, I'll send you a questionnaire to fill in with some details about your wedding, such as the timings of the day, and which group photos are most important to you. If you prefer, we can go through this together in a call.
If you've booked an engagement shoot with me as well, I'll look forward to meeting you in person for that, otherwise the first time we meet face-to-face will likely be on your wedding day itself. But don't worry, I'll be available around the clock via email and WhatsApp to answer any questions or offer advice, and we can arrange another call if you want to discuss anything.
Finally, a week or two before the big day, we'll try to arrange one final call to go over the order of the day again – this will refresh our memories, and you can let me know about any last-minute changes that inevitably happen!
4) The Wedding Day
I’ll be there to start documenting your day at whatever time and location we’ve agreed. This will often be where the bridal party are getting ready, or possibly the groomsmen if you prefer, or both if the locations are close enough together.
I’ll then capture the day as it unfolds, from preparations, to the ceremony, the reception, the wedding breakfast, speeches, first dance, cake-cutting and the evening party. I’ll aim to capture natural, candid moments and the genuine heartfelt interactions, without needing to stage anything.
At some point during the day, we’ll take some couples portraits with just the two of you. We can do this at whatever time fits best into your day - between the ceremony and reception often works well. We’ll get a variety of natural poses in different settings, but I’ll try not to take up too much of your time - around 15 to 20 minutes is usually good. Sometimes it’s nice to do a second portrait session later in the evening as well, when the light has changed - we might be blessed with a lovely sunset or pretty twilight colours, so if I see any potential opportunities, I might ask you to step aside for a few minutes if you’re free, but no pressure, you’ll always be in control!
We can also take some posed group shots with family and friends - this is where pre-planning is very useful, and we’ll work through the list you will have prepared in advance. It’s a good idea to appoint a bossy bridesmaid or groomsman who can help usher people into place and keep things moving. I’d recommend keeping the list as short as possible, so we can get through the groups quickly and you can enjoy more time with all of your guests.
I’ll stay as late as I need to to make sure I’ve not missed any magical moments.
5) After The Wedding
First of all, congratulations! You’ve made it through the big day, and all that time and effort you put into planning will have paid off! Hopefully you can put your feet up and relax for a few days, and you might be off on your honeymoon, but this is where the hard work starts for me!
I’ll aim to get a small selection of sneak peek photos back to you within a week, while you’re still buzzing with excitement - this will be a few dozen pictures from throughout the day, to whet your appetite. The mammoth task of editing the full set of photos will take a few weeks, when I’ll meticulously pour over them to select the best shots, and colour-grade them to turn them into elegant, vibrant works of art. I’ll aim to get the full set of photos (usually 600+) back to you within 4 weeks, but at busy times it may take up to six.
Once they’re ready, I’ll send you a private link to your online gallery, which you can share with family and friends, and you can download the highest quality images from here, as well as smaller web-optimised versions.
